Can't modify applications folder

Hi, I'm using Mac OS X 10.2.8 and I'm trying to install this new shareware app that I downloaded but whenever I try to move it into my Applications folder, I get a message saying "Applications cannot be modified." I'm logged in as an Administrator, so that's not the problem. Does anyone know a fix to this?

go to the utilities folder inside of your applications folder.

Open disk utility

I believe the tab you want is first aid or Repair, can't remember off hand. Select the volume OS X is installed on and then select Repair disk permissions.


This should repair your permissions issues.
