When I receive e-mails that contain certain documents saved as "winmail.dat" I cannot open those items using my Mac. Since I am the only person in my small company using Mac, I am the only person not able to access many documents. Any way that I can open that type of document?

What kind of files are they? Maybe they can be opened on a mac using a different program.

Or you might need to get windows....

I always thought that the "winmail.dat" was just junk created by Windows Mail. TextEdit will make a go at opening them, it seems to contain the email as various parts of the text from the email is contained within as well as email addresses.

Try TextEdit to see if it is just a repeat of what the email says but with loads of other random characters.

Edit: See here to find out why they are created and here to find a program to convert them
