Hi. This is my first post. I have an issue with my iphone7.

Similar to the audio issue discussed previously, however I cannot place calls at all. The phone rings when someone calls me but cuts off as soon as i attempt to answer. If i attempt to make a call on WhatsApp i get the green bar at the top of the screen for a few seconds and then it cuts out.

I actually got a ring tone when i tried making a call on Signal, but it would not connect when my friend answered. Any thoughts on this one?

I’m running iOs 15 and it updated despite having auto updates switched off. ?

now i see it

When an iPhone 7 fails, it fails hard. Loop disease is just one of its terminal conditions.
The iPhone 7 isn’t worth fixing (in my opinion) but you can take it to a 3rd party repair shop to get an estimate for the repair. Apple won’t touch it.
After you get the e$$timate, you can toss the phone in the trash.

iPhone 7s are ticking time bombs. While there’s still some out there that continue to function, many have died a premature death.
The iPhone 7 was the worst iPhone ever made (as far a longevity is concerned).

thanks @now i see it. not music to my ears but helps me decide how to move forward. If you would be so kind, what iphone would you recommend for someone who isn’t the slightest bit interested in having the latest and greatest? I got the 7 because i like the size…and I am fairly capable when it comes to replacing batteries and other internal components…at least I have done on various previous iphones i’ve had…but i suspect they do get more complicated the newer they are
