First of all, I confess I'm mainly a Windows XP user nowadays. But I still cherish my old strawberry iMac and recently I was cleaning out my closet and ran across some of my old Mac games, including "The Forgotten."

I could never get that game to play properly on my iMac. It would play fine until I reached a certain point, then crash. Its system requirements were for the older Mac but it should have played fine on a newer machine. I remember being told at the time, when I went hunting for information, that the iMac had problems playing this particular game, but no one could tell me why.

I hate to throw out a perfectly good adventure game, especially one I never got to play, without giving it one last try. Can anyone here give me any suggestions on how I might get this game to play properly? On Windows XP I have been able to play legacy games by setting emulation mode to Windows 95, 98 or 2000. Is there anything like this for the Mac? The OS I have is 9.1. I'm not in a position to invest any money at all in this machine, I'm just hoping there's some setting I can tweak to make this game play.

I appreciate any help you can offer!

Does no one have any ideas on this? Can anyone point me toward a site where I might get more help? (Not Aspyr -- I've already tried them, they don't even respond.)

Thanks!
