Hello, this may be a stupid question, but I'm unable to play any of the games I have on XP partition on my Macbook, I get an "unable to init shader system" error. Is there any way to fix or at least bypass this error? Thanks in advance.

It's a good idea to give us more info than "games don't work on my macbook" At least tell us which games aren't working. Still, it looks like you're trying to play one of the newer games that require high end 3D features that the Intel graphics chip in the macbook doesn't support. In all probability, you're out of luck unless you want to upgrade to a MBP, but since you didn't tell us which games you're trying, we can't come to any conclusive conclusions.

Hate to tell you bu Macbook has the piss poor GMA950 in it, It cant run vertix shaders. Try turning off shaders in everything you play. That could help then write Apple a letter on why they are using such cheap graphics.

HL2 is a lot of fun.

Don't hurt me pretty much summed it up. The integrated Intel GMA 950 does not have the horsepower nor the necessary shader features to run HL2 with everything on. You need to either fiddle with the settings by turning all the effects down, or upgrade to an imac, macbook, or mac pro to take advantage of their better, discrete video systems.
