I've got three movies and a few TV shows that I've purchased from iTunes on my iMac, as well as a lot of DVD rips.
Two of the iTunes movies refuse to play on my Apple TV 2. I select them and the screen goes black with a spinner for a few seconds, then returns to the movie selection. All of the rips play, as do the TV shows from iTunes.
The third movie is one I purchased the other night to test, and this one plays fine (as do the purchased TV shows). So the Apple TV can play my iTunes purchases with no problems.
All the iTunes movies and TV shows play fine on the iMac, and on my iPhone (either synced or streamed from the iMac). The two movies that won't play on the Apple TV also fail to play on the Apple TV if I try and push them from either iTunes or the iPhone.
The only thing I can think of is that I let Identify 2 run through all my movies and add tags to them. But they will only fail to play on the Apple TV, not the other devices. I have tried removing all tags, but no change.
Has anyone got any suggestions please?
