I'd love some help, if someone can do so. In the last 24-48 hours, I started receiving a pop-up warning about the possibility of a firewall setting blocking access to the iTunes store, and making sure a setting for a port was adjusted to 443. And since this started, I cannot play iTunes movies--rented or purchased--through iTunes. Nor can I play them through any other player...Quicktime or VLC...because of authorization issues.
System: OSX 10.10.5
iTunes: 12.3.1.23
MBP 2013 Retina
Exact error message says: "iTunes cannot connect to Store Purchases. If you have any firewall software, make sure it has been set to allow communication on port 443."
I just recently updated from Mavericks and did a clean install to do so, and my music works fine. I have no firewall software loaded, that I'm aware of, and my OS X firewall is turned off.
And apparently, it is registering with the iTunes store when I start trying to watch a rented movie because the timer starts counting down to expiration.
Thanks again for any help.
