Are you in the US on AT&T?

yea i know they dont, but when people use to send me picture messages i use to get the viewmymessage.com crap, now i dont even get that

Maybe wait for Firmware 3.1 to come out of beta, which has MMS enabled by default. So even though AT&T won't allow you to send an MMS, it should allow you to receive, I think?

I don't think it's a 3.0 issue because I too have a 3GS and I get that stupid view my message link when people send me pics, so it definately does work on 3GS with 3.0.

you dont get that anymore because you dont have the iPhone texting plan, just the texting unlimted.

Call AT&T (611) and tell them about it. I had the same problem and eventually I got it across to them that I should at least be getting a text message with a link to that web site that has the actual picture. Once they figured out I wasn't yet another one of those pains in the *** who insist on having real MMS right now, they turned it on and now it works just fine. But it will never get fixed until you call them.

ask them instead of sending it to your phone number, have them type in your email...hehe love tricks!!!
