Hello,

I sold my AirPods Pro on eBay, not thinking I'd need to disconnect them from my account. The buyer says that they show as still being linked with my account. When I look online, it seems like the way you are supposed to resolve this is to use the Find My app and remove them there. However, they do not appear in my Find My app. For the hell of it, I checked all my devices, and also tried doing it signing into iCloud. They just don't appear there. Is it because they need to be in pairing distance? I'm hoping I can resolve this without the buyer having to ship them back to me.

I also sold an old Apple Watch at the same time. I followed apple's instructions to prepare it for sale, but did not remove it from Find My. After shipping and having this issue with the AirPods Pro, I saw the Apple Watch there and was able to remove it, so I'm kind of confused why the AirPods Pro have this issue.

I feel bad I sold these and they have this issue, and the buyer is being very patient with me.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

John

Have you tried removing them from your list of Bluetooth devices on your phone?

Make sure they are also not showing up under your Apple ID in settings.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I just checked, already removed. I probably removed them from bluetooth and my Apple ID in settings a while ago. I switched to beats headphone about 8 months ago because they fit better in my ears, may have removed them from bluetooth and Apple ID back then.

If anyone has any other suggestions, it would be appreciated.

Thanks!
John
