Hi there,

I have been having the same password issues that everyone else seems to be having on here and it seems to be that MobileMe and iCloud will accept my Mobile Me username and password online (different from my iCloud user and pass) but not on the mac.

So I decided to make the switch manually and change all of my devices to be synced to the iCloud/Apple Log-in and forget the MobileMe one.

However, the Address Book app refuses to let go of the MobileMe contacts!

I have gone in to the preferences of the app and tried to delete the account manually, but it just keeps reappearing when I relaunch the app.

Also, when I try to untick the 'Enable this account' box, it simply re-ticks itself.

So now I have an address book full of duplicate details.

Does anyone know how I can solve this?

Thanks

Simon

Go the main System Preferences pane and look for the MobileMe section. Open that and disable MobileMe from there, not from the Address Book app itself.

MobileMe already disabled

Hi Weaselboy, thanks for the reply but MobileMe is already disabled in the System Preferences.

That's another reason why it's so baffling.
