My ipod needed to be restored. I put it in and i got a error message-[Attachment 1]. I looked around online and i couldnt find the reason why. I tried it on another computer and it said the same thing. I dont have apple care on my ipod but i do have it on my mac. is there any solution to this problem--without me having to buy a new mac!? Thanks in advance!

I Figured It Out!

Not sure if you have an clickwheel iPod, or an iPod touch.

If a clickwheel: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1363, then restore it in iTunes.
If an iPod touch: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

Thank you for your help, but i actually figured it out. i was getting so desprate i called apple to help--even though my warrenty has been out for almost a year--and they said it wasnt fixable and i needed to get a new ipod. then i was messing around trying to figure out a solution and i found it. i went to disk utility and i erased it and then it worked! after 3 different computer, 2 different cables and 7 times unistalling and reinstalling itunes it worked..without anyones help!
