I got my 7+ today and I'm having an issue restoring it from a backup of my 6S.

When I plug the phone in and open iTunes, the "Welcome to your new iPhone" screen pops up, but the only restore options are my wife's iPhone and my iPad. When I plug my iPhone 6S in, it shows that it was last backed up last night to iCloud.

I'd really like to have all my app save data, iMessage history, etc. Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it?

I was doing the iOS 10 Public Beta if that makes any difference

You have to make sure the iOS version of the backup matches the new phone. If the backup was 10.0.2 then your new phone needs to match that. You may have to update the phone, then restore in order to get the 'restore from backup' screen to come back.

Yeah, you'll also want to perform the restore from backup on the device itself and not iTunes since it's a iCloud backup. That would be why you only see your wife's iPhone and your iPad there.

Like the two said above, just Erase Al Content and Settings on the new phone and when it asks you to chose the option to restore from iCloud. Then log in with the same account and it should come up.
Yesterday I was able to perform a restore from iCloud on an iOS 10 device from a backup made in iOS 9.
