Can anyone please help me find the setting to make this stop!
Every time I take a screenshot using
Shift+Cmd+4 it opens iMessages and asks me to sign in.
This is new because it’s never done this before, I have no clue what triggered it but I don’t use iMessage on my Mac at the present time. I have before but right now I choose to not use it and yet it won’t stop doing so.

What is the key combo shown at System Preferences>Keyboard>Shortcuts>Screenshots>Save picture of selected area as a file?

Also, do you have any keyboard macro apps like Keyboard Maestro running?

Sorry for delay in responding... family visiting over the weekend.
The shortcut is shift/Cmd/4

no to any macros! But I am dealing a possible compromise or something on this Mac at the same time. This is a new quirk that started and I haven’t done any software upgrade in a while.
