I am running the latest version of Mac OS Big Sur on my iMac (2020). The search function is not working in Apple Mail. Normally, when I type in a keyword in the search field, I automatically see the email that pertains to the keyword. Bu t now, when I type a keyword nothing happens. Nothing gets filtered out. How can I fix this? Thanks!

This seems to be a common issue - one that I had early on with Catalina.
Ever since upgrading to Big Sur its been OK for me thankfully, so it seems it could be something local thats not affecting everyone across the board.....

I don't know, but it is getting on my nerves already. I have many mailboxes that I need and the search is not working as expected.

After struggling whit this issue for 2+ months, the only solution actually worked for me was to create a new user on my MAC and transfer all the files to it.

Even better, restore the mac to factory settings, create a new user and configure your email accounts from scratch. It's a lot of work and take time, but will solve the search problem for good.
