MP 7,1 Can't see boot selection

Hey all, recently I if I hold down Option I can't see Bootcamp partition. I have to go to settings > startup > Windows but that forces it to always boot into Windows.

I'm not sure why it's bee happening lately, but I tried connecting a cable to the Apple keyboard and same thing. I do have File Vault with T2 chip enabled if that makes any difference?

I regularly need to boot into Windows an this is getting frustrating

I don't really want to modify the boot parameters of the Mac Pro since this is primarily a macOS machine, but to clarify, I have installed Windows 11 maybe that's why the boot menu wont show up?

Using an Apple Magic Keyboard 2

Just tried a wired keyboard and was able to see the boot menu, very odd.

I also tried Apple Magic Keyboard 2 with a lightning cable, doesn't seem to help.

Wireless keyboards don't work until AFTER the bootpicker screen - essential they don't work until the OS boots

Odd they used to work before I enabled FileVault...I think.

Does anyone know why I can't hold Option to see the boot menu while booting anymore?

Only a wired Keyboard allows me to do that

Actually, mine is the opposite. I can only see the boot option when using Apple's wireless keyboard. But I'm using a Corsair manual keyboard as my daily driver and I can never make the boot option appear at startup even after remapping the keyboard. Always have to resort to Apple's own wireless keyboard.

That is odd

I tried resetting SMC and NVRAM (Through terminal in recovery mode and manually) same thing.

Do you have FileVault enabled? It might be related to that, it maybe loads drivers after the login screen.

Of course I am lol, been a mac user since late 90s.

Windows 11 wasn't supported by Apple yet, since it requires TPM, and Apple hasn't upgraded the drivers or firmware to suppor that on the Mac Pro 2019. So I had to bypass the TPM protection on Windows 11 to install it.

I don't want to modify anything and keep it all native, so not interested in rEFInd since it should work natively and it used to.

Still can't get into the boot menu with holding option down. Also cant even do CMD+OPT+P+R for clearing NVRAM. Funnily enough I can boot into the recovery menu with CMD+R with no problem. This is with a wireless Apple Magic Keyboard 2. I swear this used to work before.

Are you booting off the original Apple SSD? Or did you install an "external" SSD and booting from there?

External PCIe NVME, here's how it shows up in Disk Utility. It shows up fine in boot manager when I hold Option with a wired Apple keyboard (the old silver ones) but not with a Apple Wireless Magic Keyboard 2 (even if I connect it with a lightning cable, same issue). I think Apple broke something in the latest firmware maybe, the Bluetooth drivers don't load in time after the boot chime? I disabled FileVault to try and same issue, so the login screen comes after the OS loads.

I am booting off the native 4TB Apple SSD. I kept Windows on a separate drive to keep things cleaner.

It's NTFS (Windows) on a separate PCIe NVME.

I have the similar experience with my logitech keyboards. Whenever I powered off my mac pro 2019 and powered on again, the boot option screen didn't appear when I pressed opt key. I gotta boot into Mac OS first > open "logi" app by logitech>restart, it worked again when pressing opt key. It seemed it didn't recognise the opt key on logitech keyboards when it's firstly booted after power off.
