Can't seem to install or uninstall PB

When the official release of El Capitan came out, I wanted to revert back to normal releases instead of the Public Betas. I followed all the steps from the Unenroll page from Apple, but didn't want to reinstall an old Time Machine Backup in fear of losing data.

Yes, this sounds probably very stupid. Should've known all this in the first place. I was fine running betas for a long period of time, but never thought it would be so hard to get out.

I stopped trying to unenroll, thought that if the official releases would get up to date with my beta version that I could update somehow.

For some weeks nothing happened and I didn't pay attention to it.

Today I received my new Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad 2, but they didn't fully work (special keys, Force Touch). System did not recognise these new devices, which is when I found out I was still running an early Public Beta (15A278b whichever one that is).

At this point I just want my Keyboard and Trackpad to work, so I don't care if I'm still going to be running betas or getting a public release. Just need to update something.

Tried to re-enroll, but downloading Apples software from the enroll page resulted in no updates available. Also no option under System Settings > App Store for updating to beta releases which should be there I believe.

Then I found out that there was no Recovery partition present.

Now, I have no idea where to begin or what my options are here. I'm also not sure what I did to get unenrolled. Maybe someone knows what's wrong, what I need to do? Much appreciated.

Open App Store. Under Purchases, do you see El Capitan? If yes, select to download again. If no, you can download and run the installer over your current install however doing a clean install is best option. Be sure to backup first. I recommend clone backup in case you need to revert. It's quicker and easier than reverting using Time Machine.

I cannot believe how simple this solution was, thank you for pointing it out! It just installed the Mac App Store version and suddenly the option to not show beta update reappeared in the settings. I also left the program AppleID-wise. About this Mac show 10.11.1 without the beta number, so I guess its back to normal now.

There are probably some traces left of the beta program I suppose? I mean, Apple says you can only remove it by going back with Time Machine... ("we have to go back!")
