I updated to ios14 and one email account I have on my phone out of the three will not send messages. The settings are the same on my MacBook and my IT dept has looked into it. No one understands why I'm getting errors and it just stays in my outbox. It then gives me a a "cannot send mail error." Anyone else have the same issue? I'm going back and forth with apple support on twitter to see what they say, but I've deleted the account and re-installed the account, same issue stays.

More details would really help to understand the full picture. What mail app are you using? What type of account is the one with the send issues (iCloud, GMail, Outlook, etc.)? Can you receive emails to that account?

The Mail app on my phone. the account that cannot send is a work email, so a basic mail server. I can receive emails with no problem. I can send/receive emails with no problem on my MacBook with the same settings in place. Gmail works on my phone and can/send receive.

Are there other iPhone users at your workplace with whom you can compare settings? Have you tried setting it up manually?

I tried setting up manually, did not work. I asked all my co-workers if they are experiencing issues, but none have updated to ios14 yet. My IT person is using a beta and using spark mail, but he’s on a different mail server since he is in another country and I’m in the US. I’m on our US based server.

One more update, my IT guy uses spark mail. So installed spark mail with the same settings and it works. I really think this is a iPhone mail app issue

Glad to hear you've got it temporarily resolved. Funny that it works in iOS 13.
