I'm Set up for iCloud. Running os 5 can send from @me and my aliases but not my @mac address

Same with my iPhone running os5. I can still send on my mac from my @mac address.

Am I missing something?

It seems that if i delete my icloud account and sign in with my @mac.com address as my apple id I get the option to send from @mac.com but not @me.com and if i use @me as my apple id i can send from @me.com but not @mac.com - how can i send from both?

I have had another hunt around the internet but can't find any answers.

Is anyone else experiencing this or are people that had an @mac address able to send from both @me and @mac from there ios 5 device?

Seems to be working for me, I've not had any issues with my .mac email

Yes, and no problems. I have migrated over to iCloud but continue to use my .mac email address

Can you receive mail at your @mac address? Was your MobileMe account active when you made the switch to iCloud?

Hi thanks for you reply. Yes my mm account was active and I made the transition to iCloud. I just can't sent from @mac on my iOS 5 devices just @me. I can still receive to my @mac address

Maflynn can you send from @me from your ios5 device as well as from @mac?

I just spoke to apple support and they said that I can't use my @mac address when I set up icloud on my ios5 device with my @me id. They said they are phasing out use of @mac and that I won't be able to send from my @mac address on an ios5 device if i sign in with my @me id. This is despite it working with mm and also on my mba. This would explain my problem. In order for me to be able to send from my @mac address on my ios5 devices I would need to sign in with my @mac id which is a pain and also means that I can't send from my @me address. I would need to sign in and out depending on which one I wanted to sign from

If you can select both @me.com and @mac.com in your Mac's Mail.app, try deleting the account on your iPhone and syncing the account from your Mac using iTunes ("Info" tab).

There was a similar issue with MobileMe and iOS 4, and this was the fix.

Let us know if it works.

It must just be an odd issue that I am experiencing. Which is good in the sense that it is not wide spread. annoying though
