can't send iMessage

My son has an iPad with an iCloud email address. He can text me but when I reply he doesn't get the message. He's able to text with other people without any problems. Any suggestions?

Check the messages settings in the settings app on his device, send and receive section to make sure he set the email to be reachable.

Thanks! That wasn't the issue, but it did help me realize that he had my number blocked!!!!
