My system won't set up Remote Desktop. Two computers are set up using a router (we are adding more), and on the client machine, appletalk is on. for some reason, RD can't find the client machine over the network.

I just tried it reverse.... and I am able to admin the other computer. Both appletalks and fileshares are on. any suggestions?

i assume you have installed ARD on both computers updated ARD using software update, set the ARD preferences correctly, and used the add computer option from the admin interface to find and select the client computer.

you haven't given any info on what machines you are using what oses they run or what you have done or tried so far. this is why no one is helping. we aren't mind readers.

Sorry 'ambitious lemon' I forgot to give my sys info.
I am running an iBook 500 os 10.2.3, trying to connect to a machine running OS 10.2.3, Graphite DV imac.
I have installed client and admin software, and updated with software update.
I went to add computer list, and the other computer didn't pop up.
Both appletalks are on, and filesharing is on on both of them
We are connecting through a router.
Is this enough system info?
