Long story short: I had problems with Cellular Data on my Apple Watch Ultra so I contacted my carrier. They manually cancelled the eSIM in the watch and recommended that I tried to setup cellular through watch app again. Now I can’t get through the setup process anymore. I’m never redirected to the carrier site. It’s like something’s gone fundamentally wrong.

Well if restarting your watch or unpairing and repairing doesn't work I think a call to Apple is next on your list.

If you give your carrier your eid number for your watch they should be able to add the plan to your watch at their end. That's what I literally did yesterday transferring watch plan from one watch to another.

I’ll try that. Thanks.

Customer service at carriers is almost nonexistent. They seldom can help but can profusely apologize that you are having a problem.

This exactly! It frustrating especially since they introduced the problem… I’ve been in contact with Apple who told me that because I’m running latest beta (18.5 RC and 11.5 RC) that could be the problem. Carrier tend to release official carrier updates during new iOS releases. So problem might solve itself when it’s released to public next week.

Had same issue when new watch purchased. Took the carrier numerous times to finally make it work after I paired. I was on phone close to an hour. Local store reps had no success.

All the store reps want/can do is sell contract and phones. They are the first to tell you that you need to call customer service. 😡
