I just bought a used 10.5 Ipad Pro and am having a problem setting it up. I started setting it up restoring from my older Ipad and all was going well. It rebooted and was in the process of downloading all my apps. I went to check on it and noticed a box had popped up asking for my VPN authentication. I use Expressvpn and thought it was something to do with that but apparently it doesn't No matter what I do i cannot get rid of it. The only way to stop it is to turn off wifi. As soon as I turn it on it keeps pooping up. If i turn the vpn slider off in settings it turns itself right back on. I have no idea how to proceed. I tried resetting both network and all settings and the problem remains. I even tried resetting and erasing but it won't let me do that either. I have no idea where to go from here. ANy help would be appreciated.

It sounds like the iPad has some kind of internal company setting lock.

Contact the seller. I would return the iPad.
I thought that might be a possibility, but I guess it wasn't. I think I was able to resolve the issue at least for now. I think probably there was an error downloading my expressvpn app. Once I got it removed the popup dissappeared.

I had exactly the same problem setting up my new iPad, but with NordVPN. Deleting the VPN in settings and reinstalling the NordVPN app fixed it.

I like NordVPN but it makes amazon crawl to snail speed. No problems with any other websites just amazon. Tried a few suggestions on the web like use Canada server etc and none of it helped. It sucks because I use amazon a lot and it’s a pain to keep disabling it just to visit amazon. This never used to happen with private internet access. Just nordvpn.

Yeah, Amazon does NOT like NordVPN at all, and I use it on my MBP
I've used Canada as well and it is hit and miss
I typically end up dumping the VPN if I have to connect to Amazon and then reconnecting
