Can't stop mini booting into xp setup after crash

XP install locks at 33mins and i can't get mini to boot into other partition or another OSX install CD.

Any ideas.

Have done command-option-shift-delete at startup.

Have tried option key at startup

Have tried holding C down with osx install CD in drive.

Any other ideas

Not accusing you here, but after reading all the "can't boot to anything" threads, I am wondering exactly when and how long are you trying to hold the key(s) down for.

If you wish to boot from CD, you should press and hold the C key AFTER the boot chime and until you see OS X start to boot, not simply until the grey screen. Same goes for the option key. Are you sure you are holding the key combination long enough and after the boot chime?

Yeah cheers m8 but i am hold for long enough.

Bit of an expert with macs etc. been using them since 1988. But this is being a bit of a pain, may have to try and boot into the command-line and reformat that partition or something.

If you have another Mac you might try to target disk mode it. If you can't even do that and the other keyboard boot options you're kinda screwed.
