Since installing Catalina, I can no longer stretch the open app across to the 2nd monitor. My main use for this function is stretching the timeline in Logic Pro X across 2 screens to make it easier to see an entire song. I hope there is a fix for this. Big disappointment if this can no longer be done. iMac Late 2013

Go to system prefs, then Mission Control. See if "Displays have seperate Spaces" is checked. If it is, that's your problem. Uncheck it, reboot, and see if you can stretch across monitors.

venom600's advice will solve your issue. However, there are always compromises. In this case, you'll lose the ability to use full-screen apps on each screen separately allowing you to switch spaces with gestures. If that's not a big issue for you, then no harm, no foul.
