Hi,

I can't sync airpods pro to a new macbook pro, it tries to connect but it doesn't. I tried resetting the case, it flashes amber, but it tries again and fails.

This computer easily syncs with my older airpods, works fine. And it did sync easily for a different same model macbook pro.

Also the macbook I am testing on is an exact clone of the previous.

Incidentally, it did start working for a brief spell, and stopped working again.

So...bluetooth hardware problem/flakiness?

I see you've tried resetting the case, but have you tried restarting the macbook or even an SMC reset to see if that fixes the problem?

just asking cause sometimes we forget to try the simpler solutions.

thanks for replying frankdogg.

I rebooted and did the cntrl+option+command+power after hitting power, as the SMC reset, and it just powered it back off. not sure what that means or if it did the reset.

I am able to sync with the airpod pro now. I'm a little concerned, since this has happened twice now. If it keeps happening I'm ready to blame the laptop bluetooth adaptor.
