Prior to MobileMe, I was syncing my contacts and calendar from my Outlook Exchange on the USB cable via iTunes. One MobileMe was released, I tried using it but have been unsuccessful doing that (as has been discussed).

So now I'm trying to switch back to syncing my calendar via iTunes USB, and that won't work either! All it did was erase the calendar on my iPhone, leaving it completely blank.

Anyone know of any solutions to get USB syncing re-started?

Turn off calendar sync in the MobileMe control panel applet and delete the MobileMe account from your phone in settings > Mail, contacts, calendar?

If you are using exchange at work, don't use mobileme to try and sync your outlook info. Use exchange activesync instead. That's the whole reason apple out it in there, so that your phone will grab email/contacts/calendar straight from the exchange server, just like outlook does on your work computer. Have a talk with the IT department and see if they support activesync for mobile phones at your work.

My company does not support ActiveSync for personal devices.

I was fine syncing my contacts and calendars via USB (although if MobileMe actually worked, that would have been better), but now I can't seem to go back to USB syncing either!
