Hi!

A couple of days ago my iPhone 4S stopped showing up in iTunes when i want to sync. I have tried different cables, connecting in safe mode and so on.

Do anybody know what the problem can be? I use a MBP with OSX Mavericks.

Here is a picture of what happens:

Could be something wrong with the usb port on the bottom of the phone.
Maybe bend pins, damaged ones or lots of dirt up in there.
Did you try plugging it in to another computer to see if that one detects it? Just to rule out its not that particular computer.

I have not tried with other computers because i don't have any other available at the moment. Will try with one of my other computers tomorrow.

The phone does charge when i connect it. If i try to close iTunes, iTunes chrases and don't close until i disconnect my phone.

Could it be something installed in Cydia that causes this?

Om using the newest version of iTunes. 11.1.5 or something

Nope, doubt its a cydia hack that would cause that.
Check the prongs on the bottom of your phone and see if you can clean it with some air or very soft brush.
But sounds to me its a software issue with that particular computer.

After a few tries I was able to connect the iPhone to my windows pc. It works for now, but i cant get access to my programs on the phone in iTunes. Something is wrong and I'm trying to restore my phone in hope of solving the problem.

Now i reached another problem... When i try to update my phone, it cant get done with backing up. The phone has been backing up for 45 minutes now, and I can't update without it.

I could only restore my phone in DFU mode because it didn't get finished with taking a back-up. It works like it did before now, so I'm having a mistake about the a tweak or the jailbreak that crashed it.
