iPod Can't Synch IPod Touch

I have a G4 dual 1.42 mhz tower. I bought an IPAD. I can't synch my Ipod Touch with Itunes. In Preparation for IPad I upgraded to Leopard. Yesterday took it to Apple Store..They said I had to Upgrade USB 1.1 to 2.0 to synch Ipod touch or IPad. Added PCI card with USB 2.0 and still same result. Only thing not tried is reinstall Itunes. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
