Can't turn sidecar on/off from screen mirroring menu

Under Catalina, my iPad would be always be listed in the screen mirroring menu allowing me to easily connect to it with Sidecar. I upgraded to Big Sur and now the menu only shows non-Sidecar options like AppleTVs... so in order to turn Sidecar on and off I have to go into System prefs which is much less convenient. Any way to get my iPad to show up in the menu like it used to?

If you click on the Control Center and select Display, you should see the option to connect to your iPad. Don't click on the screen mirroring options
