Just wondering if anyone else's keyboard is messed up on the latest beta, on an iPhone X? I cannot type the letter DGDGDGDDDGDDGGDGDDGGDDGGDGDGDGDDDGFDDGGDGDGDGDGD (it's in the thread title) ... wth?! Tried rebooting, also switched keyboards but no joy. Anyone else?
[doublepost=1536106255][/doublepost]And suddenly it's working. FFS

Still takes a few presses to get, sometimes.
[doublepost=1536106747][/doublepost]Actually, it's still messed up. I can type everything letters on the keyboard, on the first try (what a concept!) except dggddgdgdggddggddgdggddgdgor that letter. That letter CONSISTENTLY triggers the adjacent keys. Is my phone just broken???

Have you tried a soft reset? I’m not having this issue on my X.
You mean Vol + then - then hold power until it reboots? Yup.

It's kind of temperamental ... sometimes it works (let's try it now - dg dg dg dg dg dg d dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg. D d f dg dg. D dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg d

Ok so I ha dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg dg really gr dg dg dg dg dg) I'm hitting dg (THAT one key) and then space - as you can see, it did work, once. That's a star
t, I suppose

Ok I figured out a workaround. Since it keeps on thinking my f is a dg for some reason, I added "dg" as a text shortcut for "f" ... So all I have to do then is to hit backspace to get rid of the space which is automatically added after a shortcut. Guess I should just reset my keyboard.

I don’t think it’s auto correct, the d and g keys come up on the keyboard as if they are being directly tapped. Looks like it’s an issue with the tap target for f being messed up. Possibly even a hardware issue with the touch screen panel.

Mark the location of the f on the screen and try and put some other UI element there (Ie with the keyboard dismissed) and see if that’s difficult to tap too. Must be a small element as narrow as the f key though... Perhaps try drawing in notes around that area and see what lines are drawn?
[doublepost=1536159915][/doublepost]Actually, try the keyboard in landscape orientation... does F work? In landscape, is there a key which lies where the F does in portrait? If so, is it working?

Good call, thanks! But I can't get it fixed while iOS 12 is in beta, can I?

Holy **** that’s one hell of a fault.

Imo there is a very small chance this could be some kind of software glitch. I would DFU to 11.4.1 and see if that still has the issue. The DFU is the surest way to reset your phone and going back to iOS 11 means you could go straight to a store if necessary.

Disappointment;
i thought this was a Mac Book Pro keyboard issue
but
its on a iPhone; ha!!

WELL ITS HOW YOU HOLD IT

Ok so I took my
Press dg to pay respects just doesn't have the same ring
no, it's not quite the same! Lol

So it's working now ... ffffffffff

I think I'll wait until iOS12 is publicly released, just to avoid the DFU + ios11 route. At least it works in landscape mode, if I rotate clockwise. And occasionally works normally, like right now. Ffffffffffff no worries

If you go landscape and draw vertical lines, do they also skip? If not it’s software.

the one time where ducking hell is actually helpful. Apple auto correct has been preparing for this all its life.

You should replace the key 'F', because you told that all keys are working properly and try this keyboard with another PC, if the same problem exists, you have to check your device manager for keyboard drives or you can replace your keyboard with new one.
