Hi, I apologise profusely if this is something that's already been covered on the forum, but I ran a quick search and couldn't find any threads on it so I was just wondering if someone could give me a bit of help?

I'm kind of stuck on the Yosemite PB 2. My Mac keeps reminding me to update with a notification, yet when I click to install the updates immediately it puts me into the Mac App Store with this drop down:

Yet, when I click 'Show Details' it does absolutely nothing. And if I click the 'Update' or 'Update All' button in the Store, then the whole process just repeats itself. It's incredibly frustrating and I'm not sure what to do. I have more than enough disk space for the damn update (unless 300GB+ is too little), I've restarted my computer multiple times hoping that would make it work to no avail, so I'm a bit stuck. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? Because I'm completely mystified, so any help would be deeply appreciated.

There's download links to various more recent Yosemite .dmg file online, install that instead if going over the App Store doesn't work for you. (There's links to the dmg files around on tech sites if I remember correctly.) Might not be the latest version but I think the GM Candidate 1.0 is available like this. Install it then see if getting more recent software over the App Store works for you then. Worth a shot.
You're not totally bound to updating everything through the App Store after all.

If not, your only real option is to restore back to Mavericks and then try again with the latest release candidate.

Ah okay! That's a really good idea actually I'll Google around for a .dmg and hope for the best. Thank you! :)

Rather than download an installer of unknown origin, look under the purchases section in the App Store application, and download a full installer for Public Beta 4 (or 5 if it gets updated.)

I would do, but the problem is that the App Store just simply won't install anything for me at all. I'm stuck in this weird loop where it just repeatedly brings me back to this 'show details' dialogue that I screenshotted above. Bizarre really.

Anyways, I updated to version 3 and I've mysteriously lost all access to my Mac's speakers. They've completely vanished from the sound menu so I figured it wiped the drivers or something and now my machine can't access them? I'm not too sure. It's all a bit odd.
