hi

I can't update a iPad to 15.1 I get the error

Updating to iOS 15.2 requires at least 975.2 MB of free space on your iPad. Please change your media sync options to make more storage available.

there's 10gb free

any ideas

thanks

It could be an issue with the sync settings from that machine that in the course of the next sync there’d be too much media (music, movies, images) on the iPad to run the update. Maybe it goes away if you select less of these media types to sync temporarily.

Very strange. Have tried to restart both and try again? If not, worth a shot.

It could be a fragmentation issue in which case the solution would be to keep uninstalling stuff until it decides to do the update…

nope didn't work
Do you have a large video or some other file that you can download to the iPad to test if the space is really available? Also, if that works then deleting that file might free up space as far as the OS is concerned.
