I can't remember when this all started but all of a sudden I can't update Pages, numbers or keynote.
The download would start but just hang there. I deleted those three apps and tried a fresh download but it just hangs. I get the error message: 'Use the Purchased page to try again'.

Also, since MACOS 10.13.4 I have had to use a combo installer, any attempt to install an update also results in a stalled download.

Other things download and update ok but not the ones listed above??

Can anyone help, is there a cache I have to clear out - 'I'm flummoxed' as they say in my part of the UK

You're posting in the Low Sierra (10.12) sub-forum, but you said you used the Mac OS 10.13.4 combo installer.
That's High Sierra.

Which OS are you using?

Thanks for the reply Fishrrman:

I am currently using 10.13.6 (17G65) but I could only update to that by downloading the combo installer from 10.13.5
