Hey,
so iv'e been having major issues with iTunes Music Library on the new Catalina OS that I can't seem to come around. I've always had the iCloud Music library on and it was constantly updated automatically, until Catalina came.

Now every time something changes on a song (like even if I just listen to it one time and the play count increases), the app shows me this strange cloud icon besides the song that tells me the song is not currently synced to the library with it's updated data (be it lyrics, play count, whatever).
When I try to update the music library it tells me I can't do that since Genius doesn't recognise these songs (and I don't think it's because the files are damaged or anything, because most of my library is officially purchased iTunes Store material). To solve this it tells me I should turn off Genius (an option I can't find anywhere on the app BTW), but it doesn't matter because I know that once iCloud Music library is on you can't turn off Genius. So its kind of contradicting itself. I mean right now about half of the songs in my Mac are not synced to the cloud library, merely because I listened to them once or more.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem and keep the files on iCloud Music Library up to date?

Thanks!

Camping here as well...

I’m having the same issues of “corrupted data” and unable to play the music, but this is on my iPhone. My MAC plays fine, but can’t sync back the music into my iphone same as during iTunes era. Irritating... I’m gonna switch back to Mojave...
