I made a bootable backup of my 10.15.1 Mac Pro on an external drive in preparation for my new iMac.
i picked up the iMac and started to setup from my bootable drive. I could not do this as my ne iMac only had 10.14.6 installed and I could not migrate from a new OS.
No problem I thought. I would just upgrade the new iMac to 10.15.1 and then use the migration assistant. However, 10 minutes into the upgrade I get a message.
”an error occurred while preparing the installation. Try running this application again."
I tried 4 more times with the same result. Can anyone help?
