I have a 4.3.5 iPod touch 4g. I was downloading the file from iTunes when I paused it. I unpaused it and it started over. Now when I try to restore it says my device isnt eligible for the requested build! I even downloaded an ipsw and tried to restore with that, but it never works! Any help please?

It is clear that this iOS 5 rollout is plagued with errors and was not properly tested before it was released.
My hunch is that a new version of iTunes will be released within the next 48 hours that will correct (some of) these errors.

Yes, there is not much else you can do. You are not the only person having this problem, and Apple is aware of it, so I have to assume they are working on a fix for it.
Not a big fan so far on iPhone 4 it seems very bloated and sluggish. Reminds me of the bloated Windows software.
