Hi,
well i live in australia and i have a 8gb iPhone 3G, which currently has software version 3.1.3 on it. I want to update to the 4.0 version, but im not sure how to. When i connect my iphone to itunes, i dont get a popup telling me to update, and when i click on update it says "This version for the iphone software (3.1.3) is the current version". Is there something that i am missing? how do i update to 4.0?

thanks

gotta update your itunes to 9.2 then connect your iphone & sync it.

now click update and you should get the iOS 4.0 prompt.

Click download and install, then sit back and don't disconnect until it says to!

Hope this helps!

i tried that, i went to itunes and downloaded the newest itunes software, plugged in my phone and wasnt prompted. i clicked to update but it still tells me that 3.1.3 is the current version??
