In iTunes i can't add anything to the ringtone list, nothing! and with iNdependence, the option to add in the ringtone library is grayed out!

what to do??? i must have Star Trek Ringtones!!!!

If you have a Mac with Garage Band '08, you can drag the file you want as a ringtone into it for conversion. Then go under the Share heading and click "Send Ringtone to iTunes". I've converted several MP3 files to ringtones. You can do it with WAV files as well but you need to convert them to MP3 in iTunes before dragging them to Garage Band.

Just realized this only worked on Garage Band 08. I don't have 08, and I'm guessing that's not as simple as a software update...

Any other ways to add ringtones?
