I am trying to install lion on my white 2007 macbook via USB, the dvd drive is damaged.
Please note, this is one of the models with 32bit EFI. When I received this macbook, it was stuck at the recovery screen.
What I have tried:
- Using special software meant to make lion install disks
- Restoring lion base installer image to my usb stick as per every guide i've read has told me to do
Anyways, regardless of which method I try to USB boot lion, it just does not work. My installer appears in the startup manager, but does not load. Just skips straight back to recovery screen.
TLDR: Can't USB boot mid 2007 white macbook w/ 32bit EFI.
