Can't use handoff / Mac calling

Hi,

I can't seem to get any of the decent new features in Yosemite working... namely the handoff and the ability to make/receive calls via the Mac.

I have Bluetooth turned on on both devices but they are not paired because it got as far as giving me an auth code before my iPhone said it was unsuccessful for some reason?

Further, both devices are connected to the same WiFi network however it is a university-wide network called eduroam, is this known to restrict features such as this?

Make sure your devices (ios and Mac) are on the apple support lists.

Then login the same iCloud account using the SAME email address (different email under the same iCloud account won't work), go to messages and FaceTime on iPhone, turn on "SMS Relay" and "use iphone to make calls" in each setting.

Then go to your Mac, open FaceTime settings and make sure "iphone cellular calls" are checked.

Then go back to your phone, go to general-handoff, turn on everything.

Then open contact on your Mac, call somebody to see if it works.

iPhone 6 and rMBP Mid-2014 so I will say yes.

Could not find SMS relay (iOS 8.1 feature?)
Activated 'iPhone Cellular Calls' setting which sounds like the right one

Then go to your Mac, open FaceTime settings and make sure "iphone cellular calls" are checked.
Done.

Then go back to your phone, go to general-handoff, turn on everything.
Done.

Then open contact on your Mac, call somebody to see if it works.

I get 'iPhone not available - Your iPhone and Mac must be on the same WiFi network' which they are.

i couldn't get iPhone cellular calling to work either.

signing out of my AppleID within facetime on the mac and the facetime settings on the iPhone and signing back in did the trick.

also, you don't need to "pair" the devices via bluetooth. While the handshake for the connection happens via bluetooth, "pairing" isn't something that's needed between yosemite and iOS 8

I can't get this to work either (also in the UK). Trying to pair between my 5s and mid-2014 rMBP.

Tried to sign in and out of iCloud but to no avail.

Same here ... I can receive calls, but when I try to call someone from my Mac it goes "iPhone calls not available - iPhone must use the same iCloud and FaceTime account" ... this is pissing me off big time !
