I have an iphone 4, and i cant get it to enable multitouch gestures (four/five finger command gestures)

I also have an ipad 2 (has the gestures working).

My question is, can an iphone 4 use multitouch gestures?

The reason i say this is because i have enabled my iphone through the settings to do so. But i cant get it to work with 1,2,3,4 or even 5 fingers!. Is this an error by apple or is it a major error on my part?

Short summery: The iphone is jailbroken, running ios 5, has the option enabled under the settings, tried using all the fingers i can fit on the iphone.

any help will be appreciated.
EDIT: Just looked at the features ios added, and I guess iphone 4 isnt included in the multitouch gestures. Im still wondering why my iphone has the option and lets me enable it....

They will be enabled on iPhone 5 with a 4-inch display that's due October 5th, 2012.
