Captions on Hulu

so, for some reason, every time i play a show or movie on hulu, it has the captions showing. i tell siri to turn captions off and it's all good. but, whenever i leave and go back to hulu, the same crap happens. obviously we went to settings and made sure it was turned off. any idea why it's doing this? should i delete the app and redownload it? restore the apple tv? i'm stumped

Strange... sounds like it isn't retaining that particular setting :-( I wouldn't think you'd need to do a restore if it's only happening when you use Hulu.

I had this problem once after using siri to turn them on. I turned them on using the remote, and then turned them off using the remote and they didn't come back. No idea if this is still the case, as it happened to me when the apple tv first came out.
