Just to let everyone know as I am sure many are as excited as I am right now, Capture One is now out on the iPad and after testing it for the last month I am delighted by how well it performs and how great it is to have a desktop class app that I can do actual work on.

Some things are massing of course, like masks.

And the subscription is only £4.45 a month.

I have also been testing it and it’s such a strong start. Well worth taking a look. There is a free trial.
It definitely has features missing compared to say, LR - but that’s more mature so to be expected. They’re promising to add more as time goes on.
I’m looking forwards to masks, including healing, and support for working from external drives without importing. Once these are added I’ll be able to cull, edit and export most of my basic bread and butter shoots directly from the iPad in C1 if I wanted! Great news.

Masks and working directly off my NAS would be my big things. But just masking alone would allow me to do almost all my editing from the iPad locally. Once home it is enough to backup the files to the NAS.
