Hi,
What's the best option and why? I have both but wondering what route to take.
Can CCC backup to OneDrive also? That would bee great if it was possible then I have on-site backup and off-site backup.
Explain
Ok, is it because you have it on different drives then or?I use both.
TM is always connected whereas the CCC backup is updated approx monthly.
For offsite. Backblaze is a good deal. It might not be the fastest for restorations. I haven't compared restore speeds. But with Backblaze you have to wait for them to prepare a restore to download.Ok, is it because you have it on different drives then or?
I want something that backups to offsite like OneDrive or similar

You can also TM backup to multiple drives.Yes they are on different drives.
The TM sits next to my Mac, whereas the CCC sits in an external garage and brought in only to do the monthly backup.
Funnily enough I also have all my data on OneDrive.
Are either or both Apple Silicon or Universal Apps?Either with CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper.
What do you mean by "fully automatic"? I have CCC jobs scheduled to make my backups to a Synology NAS as well as a Mac Mini server. Never have to do anything unless there's a problem which I get notified about.I'm not a huge fan of TimeMachine so have been looking at alternatives for backing up to a Linux NAS. It doesn't appear CCC will perform fully automatic backups to the NAS - please correct me if I'm wrong.
I found this article which has some useful information.

He has similar requirements to me and uses Arq Backup, which is something that I haven't heard of before. It interested my because it can backup using sftp, which means no need to mount network drives.

Does anyone use this and can comment on their experiences with it?

Tried Arq but I didn't care for it. Can't remember what specifically I didn't like but YMMV.
