Carbonite : Configuration Error

I stopped paying for my carbonite and tried to delete it unsuccessfully. Now I get a pop up a few times a day that says - Configuration Error - how do I get rid of this and carbonite.

I have the same problem. I have executed the steps to manually remove all elements of the application suggested by Carbonite support. When repeating these step no portion of the application appears in the directories. The popup comes and goes every few minutes now.
