Anyone know what the easiest way would be to program a certain card game?

There's this original card game that isn't anywhere to be found online so I'd like to make a version that I could play by myself...but I don't have much of a programming background. But I'm willing to learn.

So any suggestions? Anyone ever done one of these before?

Yeah, my teammates and I did one of these one time in my 2nd programming class. It was a pain in the arse. But ours was completely command-line/terminal based. I'm sure it's easier using some sort of GUI.

And I guess that doesn't help at all... lol. Sorry :(

It's going to be quite hard to learn how to do this without any experience so maybe you could post the rules and maybe somebody here would whip you up a demo if it isn't too difficult of a game.

It's pretty hard...I'd say harder than programming "Spades" for sure...

It's an irish card-game called "25" just fyi.

If you choose ruby, c, c++ or java, I could help with the coding. I would prefer java.

I have a java book with a sample card game that is used to illustrate the CardLayout layout manager in Swing.

I wrote the "Blackjack Deluxe" Program in 1997...

Well, seems like "forever ago" that I wrote Blackjack Deluxe. I did it in MPW Pascal, good lord!

Today I program in Carbon C using XCode.
