Cardboard obstruction in AirPods Pro ear tip

I noticed that in 2 of my 6 ear tips the passage is obstructed by cardboard from the supply container. Please see the attached photograph. I don't know how to remove it. I can't simply poke a pin or toothpick through the opening because there's a membrane that is supposed to be there that I can see in the normal ear tips that I would destroy in the process. I wonder if anyone else has seen this problem.

Yeah there were reports of similar occurrences upon release of the APP.

Try & pry the edge of the cardboard out with tweezers.

Absolutely terrible packaging design. Happened to me on launch, but I didn't realise there was a membrane and poked right through it. Apple didn't deal with it very well as they first sent me tips for the wrong headset then admitted they couldn't do anything about it as there wasn't a way on their system to send me replacements.
So refunded me the cost of the wrong tips. Yeah, thanks Apple.

I imagine they will be more helpful now, especially in store.
