So I sent myself a card a few days ago when the card app came in. I received it today. I just wanted to see what kind of quality the cards would be (and if this could eliminate sending postcards/holiday cards), but sadly I am disappointed.
The paper stock was very poor & matte, and the colors were very dark. It looked like it was printed on some crappy inkjet printer from 5 years ago.
The envelope was the most impressive part, as it had nice printing and it looked pretty much exactly like it does in the app.
So overall, the App is useful and the envelopers are good but Apple really has to step it up a notch with the card quality itself. I don't think I will be ordering any more until A) I hear reports that they have improved the quality by default or B) They add some sort of option to have glossy paper
I think some of the templates are also alright, but I think adding a few more "interesting" templates that allow for multiple pictures on the front and maybe something on the inside would also go a long way (a little more iPhoto-ish).
