CarPlay / Chevy Blazer / Trax

Both of our vehicles are new Chevy’s. When we plug in our phones for car play, the first time we get an error that the usb device is not supported on our iPhones. A simple unplug/plug in and the second time they always work. I tried third party cables, official Apple cables. Also tried software update on the radio and it’s up to date. Running iOS 15.2 and it did it on older iOS as well.

Anyone seen this and potentially have a fix?

Only thing that comes to mind which might make a difference is toggling the USB accessories setting.

Allow USB and other accessories to connect to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

You might need to unlock your passcode-protected iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to connect it to a Mac, PC, or accessory.

It's been an issue with 15.2 release, CarPlay works fine in the car Kenwood HU, On my Harley its a no go completely broken.

Do you wait a bit before plugging phone in? I find that if I don't wait 15-30 seconds after starting car I get errors or things just don't work.

I was having Issues on my Harley, works fine on my Kenwood HU in my car.
