Carrying Case for 15" MBP

Hey guys, any help will be appreciated. I am looking for a slim, stylish carrying case for my MBP. I really like the ACME MADE style but I refuse to pay $120 for a carrying case.

I was wondering if anyone knows a carrying case that looks just like theirs but for a lot less? Or something just as stylish? I want something all black...

Any help will be highly appreciated.

I was set on getting a regular backpack, but now I'm having second thoughts...


but do they actually protect the notebook in the same way a backpack does? like if you drop the bag is the notebook ok?

I'm having the same dilemma. I bought a PowerSleeve from booq a while back for my 12" PowerBook and love it because it's perfectly fitted to the computer, and had a covenient pocket for keys, phone, change, etc. So as I prepare to buy my 15" MBP, it was natural that I went to the booq site. However, it looks like they've gone with really generic sizing. Their recommended bag, the PowerSleeve L, has interior specs that are 1" too think and 1.4" too wide. I dunno if I want my $3k laptop swimming around in there.

I understand a person's budget is 'x', but I personally would factor in the total cost of ownership to include purchasing the best protection (for whatever your uses are). My case was about AU$270.00 (as I need to be mobile in different field environments) - and I don't think that is a large amount to spend in comparison to what I want it to protect.

However in your pricerange: I use the STM large loop to house all my gear - it's probably well under US$100.00 - but that is just from memory - available in the US but here is the product info site: http://www.standardtm.com.au/largeloop

I understand where you are coming from, but i barely take my laptop anywhere, unless when I go on vacation which is twice a year only, but that's it, my laptop usually stays in my bedroom and the iMac downstairs...For $120 I rather spend $120 more and buy a designer laptop carrying case....
btw I don't care much for reds and oranges and blues etc...I like something more neutral, like completely black and more of a briefcase/messenger bag look than backpack...
